Currently, there is no formal education available to the street children of Indonesia. There are no schools, no subsidized housing, clothing, or food programs available.
There are no financial resources or facilities available to provide even basic math and reading skills. These children are born in a world filled with despair and poverty. They are victimized with drugs, prostitution, slavery, and lack even the most basic human needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Most are reduced to begging and live on the streets.
Our commitment is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where they will have access to the basics of education and vocational skills so that they may learn to provide for a safe and secure life for themselves.
The Learning Centers will have reading materials, toys, books, games, computers, and interactive media.
Children are the future of a nation. How can we ever hope to end terrorism, oppression, and victimization of innocence and live in peace in this world if nations and its people do not have an adequate education?
